Smalls for South Sudan
Its hard to imagine teaching, when your salary buys just one meal a month and having to send your children to school without underwear or being unable to obtain new pants and bras for yourself when you need to and fearing that the elastic in your undies might give way in class.
Our appeal aims to help the ladies and children in need of underwear. Many of you have contributed new ladies pants and bras as well as good quality used bras and childrens underwear. Below is the evidence of the joy the many parcels already sent to Yei have brought.

Donations from Hong Kong
Teachers from Beacon Hill School in Hong Kong have generously recently donated and posted several parcels to the delight of the ladies in Yei
Donations from Old Students from Sarum St Michael Teacher Training College
Old Students from the Former Teacher Training College in Salisbury donated hundreds of pieces of underwear and over £350 towards postage during the recent 40th anniversary of the closing of the college.

They say ‘its hard to express what it means to not worry about underwear falling down when they are in the classroom or in public.’ They’ve dressed up especially for the photographs to say thank you to everyone who has and is donating underwear or finances to help with the postage.

These pictures are of some very excited children recieving one item each of underwear. Many of these children often come to school without underwear because their families face a choice between buying food and underwear.
